Home and condominium insurance policyholders have complained about insurance rate hikes in recent years despite Florida dodging a direct hurricane hit since 2005. While many policyholders in South Florida have experienced rate hikes recently, they may be surprised to find their premiums are lower now than they were in 2005 and 2006. At least that's the contention of one local insurance agent, Brian Samberg, president of Southeast Insurance Agency in Boca Raton.
